We made a quick trip to the Sunflower field the other night. Year after year we always say that we are going to go visit. We finally did! The kids were a little distracted by the bees and the kids playing on the playground across the street. We spent 5 minutes in the field while I snapped as many photos as I could get. We then headed across the street to the park. Such a fun evening!
I put my son down for bed last night and then spent the next 5 minutes listening to him on the monitor. His laughs and giggles were just too cute. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to sneak in his room and spy on him. I had turned on his sound machine before I left the room and my older kiddos were still outside playing with my husband. It was the perfect opportunity to go and spy on him. I grabbed my camera and quietly opened the door. He had no idea. I snapped several photos of him being…. him. My sweet baby boy will be ONE next month and I am so glad I was able to capture these memories that I will cherish forever. I so wish that I could keep him little… forever.
My girls recently celebrated birthdays! While I do LOVE to plan their Birthday celebrations, it always makes me a little sad to know that they are another year older. They have been so excited for their Birthday. It was finally their turn to celebrate a couple of weeks ago. The girls and I had fun coming up with their party ideas! They are totally and completely in love with American Girl Dolls and Accessories. Their favorite ( for now ) is the 2015 Girl of the Year, Grace. They spend hours playing with their dolls and we have watched the Grace Movie over and over again. We decided to use that as our inspiration for their Birthday Party. If you are not familiar with AG Grace movie, it is about a young girl who travels to Paris with family and takes up a new hobby of baking. She spends time in the kitchen, cooking, baking and perfecting her recipes to ultimately enter into a baking competition. The Paris/Baking theme is the inspiration behind their party.
We had such a fun day celebrating with friends and family. We played Baking Bingo and decorated cakes! Hope you enjoy a glimpse of their special day!
